The department of Mathematics is one of the esteemed departments of the college. The department offers B.Sc.(Prog), B.A. (Prog) along with various interdisciplinary paper options through Generic Elective (GE) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC). Faculty members are specialized in various fields like Fuzzy Algebra, Mechanics, Analysis, Differential Equations, Numerical Methods, Mathematical Modelling and Simulation, Algebra, Reliability etc. The department has a knowledgeable and committed faculty members along with supporting lab staff. For encouraging the competence of students and preparing them for their success, the department often uses PowerPoint presentations, interactive sessions, seminars, workshops etc. In addition to the traditional chalkboard teaching. The laboratories are well equipped with all basic facilities. The department provides the greatest possible framework for students to develop successful careers.

The Department of Mathematics, Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi in collaboration with Siksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas organized 5 days online National Workshop on Vedic Mathematics under Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from 06th Jan'2022 to 11th Jan'2022.
Read More...A lecture Series on “Application of Probability” by Prof. Karmeshu, Department of Mathematics from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Delhi and on “Cryptography” by scientist Dr. Girish Mishra from DRDO, Delhi.
A news letter “Maths Plus” published in 2016. Students were encouraged to write articles for the same. It provides ample scope to the students to explore and enhance their skills. The newsletter aspires to make the students aware of current mathematical insight.
A lecture delivered by scientist Dr. Girish Mishra, DRDO, Delhi on “Bitcoin Currency (Cryptography)” in November 2017. Students from different departments were benefited by the the talk.
Department of Mathematics organized a 'Mathematical Rangoli Competition' in 2017. Students of various departments participated and made beautiful mathematical rangolis and won prizes.
Department organized a talk on “World of Numbers” by Prof. Ajay Kumar, Department of Mathematics, University of Delhi, Delhi.
