Swami Shraddhanand College observes Swachhta events from time to time.

A one day seminar on Swachhta was organized by all the NSS / NCC Units. The event ended with the Swachhta Shapath (Oath) taken by all members of the institute.

During the swachhta events SSNC volunteers will visit the adopted village/area and start door to door campaign to make the local masses aware about the importance of cleanliness in their surroundings. NSS Units will also be directed to procure informative leaflets, handouts from the local related agencies for further distribution to the people while visiting houses in the adopted area. After door to door campaigns, all the NSS Units will devote few days for practically cleaning the adopted villages/areas. Efforts will be made to involve local people so that they understand the dignity of labour and develop a habit of keeping their surroundings clean.

Our NCC and NSS Units identified 1 to 2 welfare agencies like hospitals, dispensaries, community centres, old age homes, orphanages, centre for disabled, rehabilitation centre, railway station, bus stations etc. and dedicate their services for cleaning the area of the agencies and also to take up various welfare activities in the agencies.

The college organizes rallies in the city by carrying various messages of cleanliness on banners and placards to create awareness in masses.

All the SSN students under the Chairmanship of the Head of Institution make discussions for the sustaining cleanliness of the area. Our Head of the institution has declared the college as a “Clean and Green College”.
